Eligibility of active employees as well as eligibility of faculty retirees (emeriti) is verified through the Stanford Directory. Official retirees who are former staff must provide a photocopy of their Stanford ID Card to confirm eligibility. The Stanford Alumni Association reserves the right to verify the eligibility of anyone claiming to be an employee or official retiree and has the authority to deny the discount if eligibility cannot be confirmed.
Prices listed on our website are the published per person rates. The employee/retiree discount is 25% off this rate and does not apply to any optional pre- or post-trip extensions nor private or independent arrangements made in conjunction with the trip.
All reservations are subject to space availability. Reservations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Single accommodations are limited.
A $2,500-per-person deposit is required to hold space and is not subject to the 25% discount. Reservations, once confirmed, are not transferable and are subject to the trip’s cancellation policy.
The program cost for nonmembers of the Stanford Alumni Association is $450 more than the members’ price. The nonmember fee is waived for faculty, staff, and retirees as well as for anyone traveling as a paid guest of them.
The 25% discount can be applied to guests traveling with the eligible employee or retiree as long as the program cost for that guest is paid for by the eligible employee or retiree.
Stanford Travel/Study welcomes anyone interested in educational travel, not just Stanford alumni. Friends and family are welcome to sign up at the published rate.
All confirmed participants must agree to Travel/Study’s terms and conditions and are required to sign a Release of Liability.
