Message from President Jon Levin

Stanford Emeriti community,

I’m delighted to extend my best wishes to all of you. Our Emeriti faculty and staff helped make Stanford a world-leading institution by educating generations of students, deepening human knowledge, and supporting and advancing the university in countless ways.

The Emeriti Council provides a rich array of intellectual programming and community resources. This website provides information about these activities and practical information for faculty and staff who have retired or who are approaching that milestone.

Stanford’s Emeriti continue to play an important role as teachers, researchers, and mentors. I am personally grateful to the Emeriti who have offered me advice and support throughout my career at Stanford, starting from my first years as a new junior faculty member. All of us at Stanford are proud of the accomplishments of our Emeriti faculty and staff, and we appreciate your ongoing contributions to and connection with our university.
